Saw this guy and his twin at the LFS several weeks back with a sticker price of $500 each never even crossed my mind to pick it up. I was more interested in the Albino Silver they had  Just last week saw a CL post for a tank for sale W/Arrow...long story short comes to find out guy bought both of them and several days later goes away for business few days later his wife calls him to say one died :cry::cry: so when got back he decides to get rid of it bf he loses this one. I end up scoring it for a fraction of the cost :grinno::grinno::nilly::nilly: So far he looks settled only concern is he hasn't eaten anything I've offered. I tried Crickets, FDBW, Hikari Sticks (LFS was feeding), FBW and previous owner tried feeders which he didn't even bother with... hopefully with in time he starts chowing down on something!

Bouncing from tank to tank to tank probably has him spooked and on a hunger strike

previous owner had them for less 4 weeks and I checked with the LFS they said they had them for quite awhile. hopefully the hunger strike doesn't last to long... Neverless I'll give him some TLC and hopfully he'll come around sooner than later and starts eating.

Bashed his jaw a bit it looks like. Wild caught bigger ones are prone to not eating for a while. It'll come around.

Did you measure him before putting him in your tank? What's his measurement?
He's just shy of 18"
NICE Arow man, has he ate yet....like previously stated....he'll come around to eating
you have him housed with an angel fish?lol

Thanks Coryo! Yes, He's with a Angel :) he was the lone survivor of a Heater malfunction :( tank was 89 degrees when i caught it! :wall:
its been exactly 2 weeks today since i acquired him and Last monday was his first time eating! He took some freeze dried black worms in the morning and in the evening he ate some blood worms! I been offering some Hikari sticks also in the morning and night but he shows no interest which is bizarre because the LFS that he originally came from said that was their primary diet. Thursday I introduced market shrimp and he ate it but still a little finicky. He's coming along but it will take some more time for him to get comfortable! Im just glad he's eating something because The week prior i threw pretty much everything at him and he had no interest from pellets, Hikari sticks, Jumbo Carni Sticks, frozen Blood worms, freeze dried Black worms, Crickets and grass hoppers.
