Where are all the Xingu gone?

Are these still in the trade? i had a pair of Xingu 1 about 12 year ago when they where around in shop tanks! Since then iv not came across eney ??

Are Xingu 2 s eaven more hard to find?

I think the op was referring to crenicichla not Cichla.
 
Yep Xingu 1 are restricted and currently have been absent from the trade for years. Very rare now, some people are willing to pay top dollar for them... Xingu 2 yes is more rare since they're often mis-identified when brought in, however I don't think it's anywhere near as good looking as Xingu 1 anyways...

I remember 8 years ago almost every LFS in my area was selling "orange pikes" aka Xingu I's. I had 2 at one point and got rid of them to house a lenticulata that I had come across. Never thought back then that one day they would become so sought after. Who knew??

Thanks for info on the Xingu 1s" Does that mean only small numbers are comeing into country as restricted"" or none at all ?
