Over there
Just got this guy yesterday. It's about 1.5". Can you guys tell me what species it is? I can take more pics later but I'm not sure what angles are required to ID these guys. It was in a mixed batch of different species supposedly. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1427140525.266948.jpg

Too small to tell for sure. Need an under the jaw shot up close with the pores visible. Looks like a little mala but that's with no info.

Looks like a small mala, but hard to tell at such size, get clear close up of the under jaw and you'll have an accurate id

Whoever told you that was probably just trolling for sales. Reputable sellers would not mix such fish like this, much less HAVE the rarer ones.
Looks like a malabaricus to me.

Thanks man. I'll try my best to get shots. If it helps he was supposedly in a batch of lacerdae, intermedius, mala and something else. Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

Wes or Ray?

Was not aware of such random groupings of wolves.... Thought they were more origin specific.....

Is this another case of paying Mala money hoping for something else?

Is it the stripe that has people saying Mala already?

Head shape to me, but it's a little flattened, I've seen malas head shape vary though. And I didn't think sellers mixed them as such either.

Hmmm interesting that you would make such a bold statement like this... This shipment was from Peru... They have all those 3 types of wolves... Ray didn't mix them they came in labeled as malas and are being sold at mala price but some experts like wesley Wong and ken said a couple of them look different... Just a FYI
