Snails and cory cats in my 40 planted tank. And otocinclus for algae

I have some pictus and synodontis cats in my african tank.

I guess there are always better species, but it depends on the tank.

One or 2 big syno cats may work well with the snakehead. I had a big group as a cleanup crew before and they were tough to beat. Loaches serve this purpose now for me, but the snakehead might not like them. Syno cats can really mop up a lower water column mess quick. Plecs and crayfish just to slow to the scene to solely serve the "clean up crew" purpose with messy feedings imo in most cases

Silver Dollars. I don't have any specific food for them. They eat the left overs from the larger, messy fish/turtle. After cleaning up the water column, they comb through the gravel.

Sadly no cleanup crew would last in my 200G, anything i put in there for cleanup would surely end up as a snack for my fahaka...

Same here. Dollars and tinfoil barbs. They just eat whatever doesn't get eaten by the big boys

I really need a cleanup crew for my big polys. I had a featherfin cat but he started getting a taste for slimecoat. What about geos? Has anybody tried those for cleanup?

I have had bad luck keeping clown loaches. But I agree that's another good choice
