I'm building a 350 gallon and used water based roof sealant, $50 for 5 gallons

It might be good for a roof, but for an aquarium or pond I'd worry that it probably won't hold up long-term or be biologically safe. It could be worth experimenting with on a test tank, but I wouldn't put my 10+ year old fish in it until it's absolutely proven to be safe.

I'm looking at this stuff advertised for roofs too. It says 10 years it's 100% environmentally safe and claims no leeching chemicals. It's 150 here in Canada for a 5 gallon bucket. Looks promising
