Fish Poem

Thought I'd share with you all a poem I recently wrote.

It's based on the poem "The Rainbow Bridge" which tells the story of the journey a pet and their owner go through after this life.

Until We Meet Again

You said to me, dear girl
Why do you weep, why do you despair so?
To which I replied, my heart is broken
It has no home, it has no place to go

You see, I lost my friend today
The one who made me laugh, the reason behind my smile
His time came much too soon
Yet he was here only a short while

You said to me, dear girl
Don't you know about the special place
The place where fallen fish go?
A realm where they await loved ones
From which eternal rivers flow

In this place, all fish are friends
There is no sickness, they know no pain
This wondrous kingdom, so full of beauty
So like sunshine after the rain

You said to me, dear girl
T'is The Rainbow Bridge of which I speak
It is is the gateway where souls reunite
Where at long last, they find what they seek

The Rainbow Bridge is a magical place
A place where hearts can mend
The Rainbow Bridge is where I'll be waiting
Until we meet again
 
Wow I wonder if this is getting entered in oddballs writing contest.

LOL...is that your fish poem? It's great! How many water changes are you doing anyway?
 
Yeah, it's an acrostic poem :D (see 1st capital letters)
I'm doing a 90% every other day, sometimes sneaking another 50% in between. Plus wiping everything down or rinsing every time. This has meant a cleaner tank for everyone besides the discus. I have also learned the value of a prefilter sponge, I waited too long to use them but I was always afraid the drag would burn my motor out. So I guess it's not soo bad :/

Coming from the queen of aquarium clean..that is alot of water changes, my friend. Hopefully your tank isn't that large. :p
