I so hate Herons

The dog killed 2 of them, he's a sneaky bugger.

I put my heron decoy out there yesterday and the blue heron came back but didn't land on the cascading waterfall but on the block wall behind it. I scared it off.

I have already ordered a floating net to help protect the goldfish and moved the decoy after I scared the heron off. I don't blame the bird, a free meal is hard to pass up especially these days.

The expensive koi are smart, it's the not so expensive fancy goldfish that are getting picked off.

And it's kind of hard to prevent your dog from protecting what he deems his territory and pets and luckily my neighbors can't see into my yard.

yeah, Akita is really territorial, they will attack any animal go into their land!

I have a velda electric heron stop fence and it's solved my heron issues. 40,000 volts is quite persuasive.

I have a creek running through my back yard that is a riparian habitat for herons and egrets. I also have local raccoons. I've purchased a water jet with a motion sensor. It shoots a strong jet of water at what ever moves. It works really well. The birds hang out sitting on the edge of the trough picking off my goldfish so I bought some wire deterrents that I pop riveted to the side of my trough so the birds can't get near my goldfish.

Easy just air soft them lol, sounds bad but who would u rather see live? Ur precious 350$ koi or the dang bird thts gonna eat ur fish and digest and poop him out all over ur yard lol. Or get some netting to put over the pond

Don't forget to freeze the ball or try to find the marble ball that fit the barrel then rank up the output psi to 600 feets per second...1 shoot anywhere near the head would kill them instantly ...went throught any bird body easy too...I'm that evil

Its supposed to work great on birds.

I know it works wonderfully on kids who jump my fence to cut through the yard.

I fought a losing battle at my last house with a heron. Lost two koi a small turtle and several frogs before I moved. This time I will be installing one of the motion operated sprinkler heads.

Raccoons were my problem.They took out my koi and young terrapins.
