How to sex rotkeils and red spotted severums?

I want to get a pair of severums and I wanted to know how to sex them to make sure I get a pair?

"Worming" on the face generally indicates a male. This does not hold true for the man made "Red" Severums though.

Both of my reds have marks in between the eyes, wondering where you get the idea for that rivers? I've had eggs laid.

Venting is the only sure fire way.

Yes, for the millionth time, you cannot accurately sex the super reds with markings. Mature males and females will show varying degrees of spotting and worming on the face.

Venting is the best way for super reds. Rotkeils can be sexed by markings but you'll have to wait until they're 3 - 4" and the mature coloration starts to develop.
