But i guess if you consider how much weight these birds can pick up, something like a GoPro probably doesn't weigh them down too bad...

Yeah pick up is one thing and supporting an object on it's back or shoulders while flying is quite another.I'm more amazed at the quality of the footage from such a seemingly small camera.
