Okay here are some better pictures. I bought two Rotkeils 10 days ago and hoping to get confirmation if they are indeed rotkeils or not? The red Severum in my pictures is not in question its the other two :). I bought them from Jeff Rapps and he has posted pictures of the Rotkeils and Heros appendiculatus he sells, provided with the two links below. Can you guys give me your opinions on what fish i have? Thanks so much!

Thanks for the help. Yeah im thinking he accidentally sent me the wrong fish.... The fish I got looks like the Heros append. that he has pictured. They are still a very beautiful fish but I really want to have some rotkeils! I've been trying to get a hold of him, im sure he'll make it right. I've heard nothing but good things. Anyone else have an opinion on the ID of my severums. thanks

Jeff won't be able to answer emails until next week I think. There's a note on his current stocklist saying he's unavailable.

I have gotten mislabeled severums from Jeff before because they were in tanks that were side by side and they netted from the wrong tank. It happens. You won't know if they're rotkeils until they are 3 - 4" and start to color up. It usually starts as red spots just behind the gills and eye, so keep watching them for that.

Those sevs look near identical to the sevs I bought locally in Philly last October. They were sold as "wild green severums" and not as Rotkeils. Not saying yours aren't, but you think the color might be a bit closer to what you see in Rapp's link; perhaps will shine through when they mature? Not sure. Mine are only at about 4 inches at the moment. I'll try to post pics later for comparison.

Thanks, I didn't see he was unavailable that makes me feel better!! If you don't mind me asking how did he handle it when you got the wrong fish? Yeah im keeping an eye out for the red on the gills. The big one is already about 4" and no red. As Poseidon mentioned I looked up the wild greens and mine looks identical to the red spot wild greens. Yeah Poseidon if you can that would be awesome to see your pictures to compare. Thanks both for the help.
