So you think they don't breed aro in the county they are wild caught in

I must remember that when I get a super red sent over from Indonesia it's must be wild caught if it landed on a flight from Indonesia

Hahahaha your funny

It's even better for them to breed in the country they come from they just shut off a section of the river making a large pond water change time just open a small lock job done

They still have limited gene pool maybe 20-30 it just make selling them to market less risky as no need to go out fishing

Come on wake up
Come on wake up! Get a cup of coffee! Utilize all the left over gray matter in that bone head for a change! Why would one goes to all the trouble of shutting off a section of river to breed a fish that he can just go net it out of a ditch? Where's the common sense? :screwy:

I am not here to take sides. See the fish as it present itself.

The selling point is not the panda eyes. The overall general feel of a clean fish is. The light yellow to me is acceptable and pleasant . However if it should turn more yellowish later than it's a different story.

As for the Nan light thingy.. Is it really important ? Tik is merely saying don't shine a nan light to the side . Any strong light source.. Especially when shine from the side of the tank .. Will Coz drop Eye. The fish orientates with the light source. Some scientist did an experiment Many years ago. He put a fish in a completely dark tank and shine a light from the bottom. Guess what.. That fish defied gravity and swim upside down so it's back is facing the light source.

Wild caught and non wild caught will have drop eyes if they are placed in a unsuitable environment. They shall same genes.. Doesn't matter if wild or not wild.. Their genes is the same.

Discussion with good intend is always good...

Seeing an aro swimming upside down to face a light source must look insane. I hope more experiments of this kind are done in the future. It may possibly aid us with the DE topic. It's strange how silvers seem to be more prone

.

Bro.. Why do you have to say this? T1Karmann has his right to voice his comment. You seem to enjoy people going against each other huh.

It was a joke that seemed to fly over your head like everything else we discuss with you.

Also if you know all about drop eye then how come you couldn't prevent it from happening to your snow?

Hi,

I'm not well informed about color morphs in animals, but are these color morphs the result of just one gene or a combination of a few? If they are just the result of one gene, wouldn't they be pretty easy to breed, or are these being regulated in order to keep prices high?

Thank you.

So make a few ponds that are connected to the main river or risk your live every other week hoping you find some aro fry
I know what I would rather do that just harvest a pond

Oh please! Don't just regurge 2nd-hand information without putting in some thought or common sense. Going from shutting off river to make a few ponds that are connected to main river, you are hoping to grab something that sticks, aren't you? Take a deep breath, and think! Have you had any idea what kind of effort/man power it takes to either shut off a river or making a few pond? What does it take to fill it with 20-30 breeding specimens? What does it take to care and breed them? You know what you rather do... Really? Have you done any of those thing? Or the only thing you have done is being a keyboard warrior, regurge your assumed, 2nd-hand information, and hoping it makes you look smart? Now, think as a fisherman! Would a fisherman rather do all those thing than "risking life very other week hoping to find some aro fry?" If a fisherman can shut off a river or make a few ponds that are connected to the main river, would he rather be a fisherman or an engineer to build bigger "thing" that makes bigger bucks? Get off that computer, get out from under that rock, go travel and see the world for a change, would you? :screwy:
