I have a 6" bowfin I am looking to sell. This fish was purchased about a month and a half ago from a fish hatchery. The fish is very active and shows a very striking pattern. The fish has eaten feeder rosies, earthworms, live crayfish, and raw shrimp while in my care. The hatchery claims that he was eating floating pellets and raw chicken livers and raw chicken hearts also.
The fish has a split in his tail fin that has been slow to heal. It might never heal (I don't remember how well bowfin heal from fish I have kept in the past). The reason I am selling is I have another bowfin that I intend to keep and bowfin tend not to get along with their own kind.
The price on the fish is $50 firm (I paid $100 not including shipping). If I can't get back at least half of what I paid I have a plan B.
