Which Peacock bass have a tendency to be the most aggressive and which have a tendency to be the least aggressive. I know each one is an individual, but what are the general rules?

I've heard that orinos and azuls are more aggressive than others. Not sure if there is any particularly chill or skittish species.

I got my Azul last January at around 4 inches. He was pretty nasty as he grew between 4"-10" chasing and nipping the cichlids, silver dollars , and a black arowana. He is now 14" after 5 months and gotten really chill. He just patrols the 180 until you feed him. I owned Temensis before the Azul. They didn't seem aggressive at all.

Ive kept quite a few diff types and id say orino's are the most aggro.
Kelberi have been the most sissy in my tanks.
BUt that being said, each fish is different as well as its tank mates.

ill have to agree with G, my kelberi are total panzys and get the snot kicked outta them regularly if i dont size grade the grow outs well enough.

My big girl orino is the worst of my cichla, relentlessly chasing anything more than a few inches smaller.

I had heard brokopondo were the most aggressive, my big 17" girls are total wusses, even at spawning time. So idk.

I was told temensis are the worst and orinos are also aggressive. I was going to get kelberi, azuls, and monos?

I had a temensis a few years ago and it was quite the bully of the tank.It would pick a certain fish on a given day and almost relentlessly chase it around.

i have the polar opposite, my 12" tem runs with his tail between his legs from everybody in the tank...even the dats....

Lol,wow...punked by dats.Currently my big boy pinima is pretty docile until food is tossed in....then it's yard out and everyone better get out of the way.
