Update on Lima Shovelnose

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Might sound silly but try just rubbing the massivore on the food thats being stuffed. Might be enough scent for it to pick it up when it smells it with its whiskers.

I'll give anything a shot! I'll try that tonight when I feed her.

I would love to have more than one, my tank is limiting me right now. :( I have a 120g, andI had originally planned to get a group of 3 with plans of upgrading later, but I don't want to take a chance of not being able to upgrade because who knows what my situation will be in a year. I've read different things regarding their max growth but since she's grown an inch in a month I'm glad I stuck with one for now. I'm excited to see how big she's going to get.
That's highly commendable. We are so used to doing what pleases us that we do just that without thinking, automatically, as if it goes without saying, and rarely do we think about our fish in the selfless way that you display. Of course, this is only one facet of our everlasting debate along the lines "to keep or not to keep" and "if to keep, what's right and what's wrong?".

Exactly my thoughts! I tend to overthink things anyways, but I struggle with what's right versus what's wrong. It's easy to get swept away in this hobby and stock a tank to its maximum. There are so many fish that I would love to keep, but sadly I'm limited for the moment. I try to give my fish the best home I can, even though I know I cannot replicate their natural habitat even if I could fill an entire house with tanks. Many people say "it's just a fish" but to me it's much more than that. I'm willingly taking these creatures into my care and they rely on me entirely.
