I was saying Sumo probably meant to say the guy was fired and he does deserve a good beating.

I really miss the daytime work crowd. Is the fish keeping area busier?
keep posting notices of Found Dog... in newspapers, further animal shelters etc. Dog can get lost through no fault of the owners. maybe someone was dog sitting. Lots of things can happen. I've seen a lot of stolen dog dumped stories, and even vengeful Ex's doing that.
yeah, might be more accurate to say abusive and vengeful Ex. some will do horrible things to pets for revenge/message of control over another person.
but regardless of how dog got lost, it can be VERY hard to find them within the "acceptable legal time limit" in spite of the best efforts. so many get euthanized, adopted out or kept by whoever found them.
I would be heartbroken if that happened to my dog. I chipped my new pup.
but I've seen tv coverage of dogs and cats who were missing for YEARS with a chip (obviously held by private person) and when finally picked up by animal control they were returned to original owners. some of them were really far away from home. makes you wonder..?

and I don't recall the article saying it, but I just assumed he ain't working there anymore
the article also said the management didn't acknowledge that the drink was spat in, but gave them a refund and some gift certificates. the customer plans on suing the joint as well as the waitor
Why bother? I'm in no hurry to get this dog back to its owner if the owner can't put the effort into finding it.....no matter how far from home it is. I'd have called every place within 90 minutes of my dog was missing
