Last several weeks one of my fenestratus and one of my hartwegi have been showing interest in each other. Sure enough, they laid a bunch of eggs on a rock today. Hartwegi is 9"+ and fenestratus is 7"+. Been growing these out, with other paratheraps, since Oct 2013. First time parents and so far they seem to be doing an excellent job. They are protective of their eggs but are not terrorizing their tankmates.

Less than a week after spotting the large batch, I got some wrigglers. Looks like about 2-3 dozens survived.

Nice. Very nice. I had a female Fenestratus I had to get rid of her. Pair up with anything, but a total terror to tankmates once she paired up.

So far, my CAs have been pretty peaceful......even this breeding pair. A nip here and there but that's about it. Hopefully they'll stay this way for life.

About a dozen left and are now free swimming

Thats just cool.

Are they still mellowish with the tank mates....i wonder what they will look like
