I realized at home Depot and lowes you can buy a sheet of Acrylic 1/4" by 4ft by 8ft. I chose to maximize the size of a wet dry sump that can be created with one sheet. the sump is 20" wide, 4ft long and has a wet dry height of 28" and a pump side height of 20". If you take an inch off of length then you can create braces as well. the cost for one sheet is 172$ for me. It uses the same design as a pro made saline solutions sump I had lying around that had 1/4" thick acrylic as well. the sump by them was 40 gallons so I maximized the dimensions for one sheet giving a max capacity of 80 gallons however this is a wet dry so only 20 gallons may be in the sump. if there is interest in more detail I will do a sketch up

I for one wouldn't mind seeing the sketch up.

Okay;standing by.

Alright it is Friday so I will post them. These dimensions give you a width of 20", a length of 48", a varying height between 20"and 28". The wet dry portion of the sump will be 28"high, dependent on the angle you make from the 20" side upwards you can determine the size of the trickle tower. I would personally make it around 24"from both walls and create a new panel that will drop to around 6"from the bottom of the tank. more acrylic will be needed to make the drip tray.

Thats dope! You might wanna add another layer of light diffuse under the bio balls caus it looks like it is bowin in the mid.

the bowing is fine, sure it's a good idea to reinforce it but the water distribution from the main drip plate is the key factor
