My Giant Red Terror pair

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I did view your thread a couple of days back and ( I must say yo have a stunning pair there) I rushed back home to see my red terrors. I was under the impression that the ones with the black stripes are male and the other the female.
When i looked back into mine , I have one male half the size of yours and 5 females but with not so much bright patterning.
Thanks to your thread , I am more aware now.

Both males and females can show bars. This technique is an inaccurate way to sex Festae.

Well don't give up yet. You still might have a male since some unmature males still have bars. But as big as mine is he will from time to time have his bars as dark as the females.

They look great!

Outstanding! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Thanks , but how do I visually get to a near accurate sexing
Experience is the best after you grow out a bunch. You can put your own expertise into sexing them. But the for sure way is to vent them until you figure out other ways
