Anyone know anything about these guys? Diet, care, behavior, how do they usually act throughout the day and how they act during the night? Any tips would be great. Thanks!

I have no personal experience with them, but theres quite a bit of info in these profiles, which may be helpful. It seems that these have very gradually been becoming more common in the aquarium trade over the past few years. Though they're still quite rare, I have seen them up for sale in the Marketplace a couple times, and one was fairly recent...

No offense intended but you are not kool enough to own that fish! lol

Andyg719, I did`nt notice that was your first post. Welcome! If you manage to get a hold of one or more of these fish I will envy you immensely. I wish the people in Asia would work on producing enough of these that the price would come down a little so schlubs like me could afford them. They are an awesome animal and I hope you keep us posted on your experience with them should you get any.

wow,, a little harsh. lol

Anyone who has that as their first post is pretty damn cool in my books,

Anyone here actually own these? lets see some pics!

scroll down to this blog that I started a few years ago that never finished, it documents the few trips my friend and I took to find these elusive loaches. If you've been around the hobby, these loaches were missing in the hobby and export for more than 15 years. A few times they were exported as royal loaches, they were actually leptobotia pelligrini, which looks similar but different, and doesn't grow as big.

Haha thanks man! I'm on the hunt for some but prices like that are a little out of my range so hopefully they'll go down soon! Definitely will post pics if I ever get a chance to get one

Thanks for the link, Wes! Will definitely read up on it. I spent a while lurking through that thread of when you first brought in some Imperial loaches back in 2009 and wow all I can say is dang…. you are a legend bro.
