You are right. This products produce a lot of heat.

^^^^Yeah! Why these LED light don't have a fan? Main reason because it will raise the power consumption and noises.
Also, company change the materials from time to time and trying to improve the product, so most likely every batch is different version and can be better than previous batch OR can be WORSE than the previous batch. The true here is that our company (At least those upper management) won't know or getting any complains RIGHT A WAY but most likely after few months or at least a year when consumers started phone in, mailed in malfunction lights. For me as a production manager I knew what's good and what's bad, what's part need correction before put in mass production BUT I don't have power to change or make huge effect on upper management...For living I just flow/play along until I found a better job hehehe.
hello; After following this thread for a while I have a suggestion. As excessive heat seems to be considered the main reason for failure, could you place a fan of some sort to blow on the lights? They only have heatsing on back. And thermal paste under COB.

I have one fan on wall but nothing... I must laser cut every light and instal 1 fan for every light. I'm going to hit it with old school PC fan. Directly blow to COB unit can make diference i hope.
I don't know every english word. Sory if i'm sound stupid. I'm traying to make my best...
