i built this sucker for 1400$/

Looks splendid. 1/2" acrylic worries me though. Even with the top braces, it must be bowing a lot, probably too much for long-term comfort.

1/2" acrylic is fine. I had a 250 30" tall with 1/2" acrylic with bracing and it does not bow. sold it to a friend and he still has it setup as a reef. it's 10 years old now
