Do you have any problems with the sand in your tank getting dirty quick and becoming not visually appealing, or how often do you do water changes? At leaast when I had pool filter sand, the waste all just collected on the top.

No issues. The return has strong enough current that it kicks up all the debris into the overflow.

He is about 17" or so. A really tall bodied kelberi. But for me the xingu is much nicer.
