Hi there, Albino Bichir is a variant of senegalus and its definitely a upper jaw species of bichir.

I never heard of leopard bichir . Are you sure it was leopard not lapradei ?if its not the later one then It could be a tiger delhezi or palmas palmas. Pictures would really help.

Hi Humanbean thanks for reply! He did call it a leopard.. but im in india and alot of names etc here are very back to front lol... it is only a juvenile and pattern is much like the tail fin of the
Polypterus ornatipinnis shown in the sticky of this page above in visual reference guide for polys...

get a pic....interested to see what it is!

Haven't heard of anything else albino other than senegals. So 1 is probably a Senegal. And to the second one you described two species. A del would more than likely be referred to as a leopard bichir, but the marbled pattern could refer to palmas polli. It could also be referring to an ornate, so with the second bichir it could be a couple of things. But chances are number one is a Senegal.

I mabe heading past there tomorrow so will try get a pic if so.... it is very expensive for here nearly triple the price of the albino...

Ok so if you have seen them, did it have at least 75% of its body (or at least near that number) covered in black?
