His legacy lives on in plenty of pups and in particular a cracking pure BD son.

Yeah - just lost one of my breeder males last Thursday for no reason that I could see. Suspect the same thing happened.
Its unusual for them to hold on this long once the guts been pierced, crying shame after all this worrying and willing this boy to get better.
For what its worth Jim I have been there many times over the years, leaves an empty feeling in your stomach for a while but you will feel more at ease with it after several days and start searching for another very special male like him to do the job he did so well for you.
