Today marks HarleyK's 10th year with MFK. Congratz again on making 10 years Harley! Harley gave a little insight on how MFK changed his stock and the hobby for him but didn't go into too much detail. It reminded me of when I first joined MFK and how quickly the hobby changed for me and how my tank stock soon followed.

So by all means please share. Tell me about your first times dealing with shipping or delivery or buying your first real monster or how the hobby changed for you since joining MFK. That includes you HarleyK I'd like to hear more about how things changed for you since joining.

I joined over 10 years ago and stumbled across the site while looking for a tank bigger than 150g. It opened my eyes to more exotic monster fish other than silver arowana, oscars and rtc. So thanks to Mfk for making me spend thousands on exotic fish and monster aquariums, hooking my home up to standby generator to keep fish alive, spending money on cameras and aquarium controllers to monitor my tanks 24/7 and me spending more money on fish food than ever imagined

I didn't even realize my 10 year anniversary just passed. I'll never forget working at my LFS as a kid and stumbling across the first MFK ad in TFH well before the site ever went live. I checked for updates daily out of pure intrigue. When the forum went live, I never imagined what would happen next.

I was always into oddball fish but this site brought it to a whole new level. I was taking care of my dad's fish in 2005. Once he officially passed the torch to me, I bought a pair of Channa Micropeltes from work and the rest is history.

Here I am, 10 years later and have spent tons of money, learned a ton, and made a ton of friends. I've had plenty of hobbies through the years, but fish keeping has always been at the forefront. I remember making my dad take me to Shark Aquarium for MFK meets as a kid. Now I'm one of the guys setting these things up!
