Very cool. I've only ever seen the cichlid tank at the Atlanta aquarium, I'm pretty sure its much smaller. I also watched your filament barb video, I have a group of my own that I wish would hurry up and grow.

Are there other fish tanks in the Zoo? I am going to Toronto this Fall, and looking for places to visit. Overall, Is the Zoo worth visiting, not just fish but other animal?

The Toronto Zoo was so disappointing. I've been many times but its declined slowly over the years. This time around more then half the exhibits were empty and when there was an animal in an enclosure, it was impossible to see. I will never go again.

I've never been to the Ripleys aquarium but I imagine it would be pretty good.

I went there this past weekend and as marconi marconi said its OK. Place is way too big so lots of walking. They do have smaller fish tanks but just OK nothing extra ordinary.

Cool looking tank, but I think it is just to busy for me to actually enjoy it.

I agree. An all Malawian tank tends to be busy with dominating blue and yellow, and not much variation in body shape, size, color and demeanor. Even though there may be 100 species in there, they look alike and are minor variation of a single haplochromine species.

I'll never go back. I loved the Zoo years ago but it really seemed like it lost its appeal. So many enclosures with no animals...it was a joke. I've been to small petting zoos that were much more fun. Every animal they did have looked depressed.
