Hello everything has been going good in the 55 but the past two days the tank has gotten increasing cloudiness. I checked the parameters and nothing stuck out as an issue. My first suspect is filtration, I'm using a UGF, and the water has been perfect, and clear. The fish wrr breathing heavy yesterday but are normal today. I'm checking levels again as I type though. Another issue are the breeding convicts. They really aren't doing any physical damage but are harassing even the flowerhorn. I underestimated the evil of breeding cichlids, it has been bad but has gotten REALLY bad, I think they are about to spawn in the next 24 hours. I'm putting a divider in but the reason I'm even putting this issue in here is because the y have been digging holes in the gravel, and was wondering if that could be an issue. Thank you. PS those particles are bubbles I have bubbles coming out of powerheads for extra Oxygen

Water parameters aside, a 55G is not suitable for a pair of breeding Cons + Flowerhorn.

Sounds like a bacterial bloom. If tank is fully cycled, just keep up with water changes and it should clear up on its own.
What are the actual values of your parameters?

An undergravel filter is basically useless with digging cichlids. +1 on the 55 not been a great tank for a breeding pair and a Flowerhorn
The tank is actually just for the FH, the convicts where an emergency rescue I had to take in along with an orange mbuna of some sort, trying to find someone to buy them:)

I'll check but is a bacterial bloom dangerous?
