Yeah,the ones in the stores are probably grown from seeds or cuttings.The HD near me sucks when it comes to their plant selection..I have never seen one there and I have been looking for a desert rose but they have not had any for ages.

Perhaps the HD in your area stands for Huge Disappointing (from Eli commercial lol). You will have better luck finding desert rose in Chinatown or Asian owned nusery. I have not seen desert rose from HD or Lowe's.

No, I have a bunch of houseplants but nothing too rare a few calathea, a fig tree, a yucca, dracaena, schefflera, a braided pachira, a strelitzia, dieffenbachia and a ponytail palm.
