If you can get MB I would use that. Use at double in tank dosage in a 5 gallon bucket of tank water. Bath the fish for 30 mins. Once a day for 7 days. To the bath add 2 tablespoons of aquarium salt. While the fish in in the bath do a 50% water change in the main tank, this is important. The tank water must be clean.

Pops was giving you good advice, I'm just expanding on what he suggested.

The MB i can get isnt pure, it is:

Im in australia, and methylene blue is very hard to get pure... the only thing i can get is:

and it has:

Malachite Green 0.40mg/ml
Methylene Blue 4.00mg/ml
Acriflavine 2.00mg/ml
Dose rate is 0.25ml per Litre, 5g Bucket is 18L @ double dose rate would be 18 * 0.5ml = 9ml in the bucket with the fish.

Would you advise on the metro food soak as pops suggested?

Also as a side note, what do you suggest for the dose rate with Potassium Permanginate? I have been told so many different things!!

what i have been advises is 1g to 1L tank water, mix in a bottle, then use 25ml of that solution in 5L of water and put the fish into the 5L....does that sound correct?

Use the med you can get as a bath follow the dosage instructions.

The dosage instructions for the pp is correct.

Hold off on the metro for now. See how the bath does first.

the fh is responding really well top the MB treatment. A huge chunk of squishy skin fell off today. Been giving him a bath every 24 hours with salt.

Wc every time he tank.
