Purple garnet sand

Garnet comes in all shades & colors..... as long as the substrate is actual GARNET (SEMI PRECIOUS STONE), then the bichirs will benefit. My substrate is purple-ish/red..... it's made an incredible difference..... size 16/24.

Well mine is not redish anything it's pure purple very very very purple .... They may benefit from the other thing like appetite and so on but will their color benefit from pure purple?

Makes me wonder if it's even Garnet. I remember a lil birdie tell you to get the 16/24 grade Mohawk garnet???? :eek:

Little birdie didn't tell me where to get it .... This was best I could find that wasn't a super rediculous price ... The add said red garnet it looked kinda em red it pic but when I got it .... O boy is it far from red
