Thinking about picking up this GT. Male or female? These are the pics the guy sent me.

First pic looks male, second looks female. If it's the same fish in both pics, then I'm stumped.

As a very rough guide, a female might be easier to assimilate with other fish; males can be merciless. That is of course dependent on if you're planning to keep alongside other fish, size and temperament of fish etc

I thought the same thing. I might need better pics.
 
I had him send me a couple more. I'm leaning male with these.

Looks like it has vertical bands or stripes in one of the pics. Seems like I read if it has those vertical stripes it is female. I am no expert. It isn't super green on the scales either.

The amount of yellow on the tail is the only feature that looks male but don't take my advice.
I have one that i am trying to determine as well.
