Please help me save my bp, he have what look like ammo poison, his color turn white and he keep floating on top of water for 2 weeks, i lost 1 the same way and it painful so i dont want to lost another, i move him into a new tank with clean water, prime, salt, stress coat added, of course it not cycle cuz i move him out quickly from the nitrate spike tank, all other fish is fine in that tank tho, i do 25% everyday but he dont seem better so i moved him.

Try and get some established filter media, if not you could try and cheat with the uncycled tank by getting some bottled bacteria.

Hope your BP pulls through

This is why I'm a strong believer in sponge filters. I literally cycle ranks within an hour or two just by adding sponge filters. You might've done more harm by doing that they can shock the fish but parrots are delicate as it is I believe they are deformed fish hence the way they open mouths and structure

Wat kind of sponge to be specific?
Yesterday i put him in a 55 gl by himsefl with 100% new water at temp 84 and he look better in just 30 mins than he did in the 25 gl with temp 80 for more than 2 weeks

I agree on the sponges 100%, I always have a spare sponge running for these situations :)

I would say though that in my experience BP's are very tough, I've heard of them surviving ammonia poisoning, fish attacks, heater malfunctions; you name it

That's unusual because they're known as deformed fish so I assumed their immunity to their internals would be compromised. I read online they're less weak but I can't say from experience they probably are hardy since they got Midas red devil in them.

Also about the sponge filters Buy any you literally make one but I buy them from my local peatland it's like 7.99 for the large ones. eBay has them as well. Type large sponge filters in you'll find them. It has beneficial bacteria and I use them in every tank and for my fry tank I only use them no other filter. They're no drawbacks of them and super cheap.

The best thing is buy a battery air pump style so when or if your power goes up your fish won't be deprived of oxygen and flow.

I lost about 3-4 grand of fish due to this reason and I will never ever make the same mistake twice. Must of had some water blow my fuse which is on a circuit and I never noticed it. Saw my fish all dead except for some armored cat I had.

Cliff notes.
Battery style air pump + sponge filter= life saver
