hello; As arough estimate figgure the tank with weater , stand and all equipment can be 2250 pounds. It can be more.
Putting a tank near an outside wall can be a decent place if you know which direction the floor joists run. Tanks perpendicular to the joists being best.
Being a brick house likely has no bearing on how the floors are built. My house is brick but the floors are on 16 inch floor joists just like many houses.
Being a renter the first thing I suggest is getting good renters insurance. Also talk to the agent and be sure to ask specifically about such a large tank being covered. I would also run this by the landlord first.
Last thing; No one on this forum can tell you what you need to know. You need someone who knows about house structure to actually have a look see. Eyes on the structure, not only for how it's built but also for the current condition it is in.
