Worried About My Aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What size tank is he in now ? it should be in at least a 120 gallon tank and in that picture he will kill every fish in that tank..if he lives that long..sorry to be rude but you should do your research before buying any fish.
This is incorrect information an ato of that size needs to be in a smaller 90 or 100 gallon tank to feel more secure

you defiantly are a ford driver hahah nice starter and fuel pump!
I can see you didn't intend to stay on this forum past 2015...

anyways OP just let the fish acclimate. Its a young aro with a brand new set of surroundings. Not many species can be dumped in a tank and expected to rule the roost so to speak. Keep the water in check, keep the lights either low or off and just let the fish get used to the tank. He'll come around and start eating when he's ready.

but am I wrong? you shouldn't keep fish you don't have room for.

I 100% agree, but there is a difference between a well-intentioned but mis-informed fish keeper vs. "I don't care if I shove a huge SA fish in a 60-100 gallon tank, I'm gettin' it!".

This guy obviously isnt real knowledgeable on the hobby yet, judging by the "per minute" update on the aro when he posted this lol, so I'd rather see a new fishkeeper get turned in the right direction now, rather he end up like the people with RTC's in 180 gallons for life.

alright fair enough but the ford guy picked me out of the crowd like I said something that was enological.

you also don't base a fish off its current size .
Sure you do. Do you want to be kept in a aircraft empty hanger or an empty home. That's right I thought home. A small tank helps keep the aro feel secure and comfy.

Sorry but this guy drives a gmc.

And that's the point I'm trying to prove shaming someone for there setup and telling them they are doing the wrong thing even tho in the current situation is fine for short term.
Sorry but this guy drives a gmc.
