they are really cool to watch .
i like how they can change color or intensity of there colors with there moods its really neat to see . anyone know why bass do the mouth stretching thing ? is it really just a stretch or is it body language ? iv see other fish stretch there mouths my arowanas do it , but it just seem to look like the bass are using it for communicating .
i like to think there communicating any way lol . they seem fairly smart for a fish .
couple more pics i just took , these guys are pretty easy to photograph . they like to put the brakes on and stop dead in the water . its awesome how they can burst to top speed in the blink of an eye and then just stop on a dime really cool

sorry there azuls about nine inches , got them wen they were around three inches at the end of june
Nice bass! Whot you feeding them! Body parts lol 6inch in 4 months
they eat all kinds of stuff lol , for a while though it was manly pellets and creek minnows . hakari pellets , cichlid gold and food sticks for carnivores . but i have been giving them lots of tilapia fillets as of lately even the occasional chicken wiener lol oh and even the odd super meal worm they steal from the arowanas but they only eat them when there extra hungry lol
That's what I was thinking and the vertical bars should have done it for me.
I really want some of those one day. I'm really a tanganyka keeper,just purchased a bass three months ago. I'm addicted to them now! I have a id thread but no response.
Sounds like they eat everything bar a Sunday dinner mate
