Smallest Arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldn't buy an aro on the sole reason to eat your goldfish out of stock , like the kid said a nets much cheaper than an aro ;):D
As for tankmates for your other fish , you probably want less aggressive smaller cichlids such as firemouths , acaras , gt's etc to go with knife's and eels

I laughed more than i should have!
But yeah, not only are gold fish a terrible diet, for any fish really, there there are no fish that would go for the goldfishes and ignore everything else. It's not like goldfish are thrown in the wild by magical creatures to feed piscivorous fishes.

The net is most definitely the cheapest solution.

It really doesn't matter on the size of any arowana, because there's pro's/con's to both sides.. even with the smaller arowanas(Australian, Asian), they're not as flexible as the bigger ones(Silvers/Blacks).. so, you would need the same minimum size tank for either of the 2.

And most people recommend a 180 gal minimum for a full grown aro... and Silvers/blacks are probably the least likely to attack tankmates.. but Jardini's are said to be very aggressive, although it varies from fish to fish.. most keepers say anywhere between 8" on up, they can get pretty nasty.

Well said. This about sums it up.
