hmmm im sorry what do you mean high 20's?. did you mean that my tank is in warm temp?.
upon my own checking my water is cold temp.

this is happening before i added my bichir to my tank. so that i made water changes regularly because she had a parasite attack.

Define cold temp?
An actual value would help as you introduced a Senegal recently, I can't help but assume you have the temp to house a Senegal, which is way too warm for a Channa at this time of year. Either that, or you shocked your Senegal, which sounds odd.

I don't know much that could make a Channa itch like that.

I guess we could start with water parameters, but don't take my word for it, I'm sure some might have better ideas.

dwarf SH i had him for 2 months, for my senegal im really curious because when i bought it at the fish store, I touch the water and it is in a normal temperature (what i mean is it is not a warm water). So im confused because i always read forums, they said that senegal cannot tolerate cold waters for so long, but that senegal i bought is living in the pet store several months ago.

Im sorry madou im really confused, because here in my place I dont have any neighbor or friends to ask regarding to their actual experience in a lot of fishes. i really dont believe most of the fish shop owners/vendors, some of them prior just to sell.

fish hobby is a drug hahaha ;)

It is indeed!

As I previously said, I have a few Polypterus living in 18°C, and I know it's wrong, my aurantis pairing made that happen, so I take full responsibility for it. But I know they won't live two winters that way, and will be moved or sold at worst before temps drop again.

I still don't think anyone can help without either:
- Water parameters (including temperature, that you still haven't provided)
- Pictures/videos of the fish, and if possible the described behavior.

Don't mean to be rude, but if you really want help, you need to help us help you :)
