Hi

I want to buy a juvenile flowerhorn. I started with 5 small fry but realized it would be better to buy a juvenile one since there's no way for me to find out how my fh's are going to look like when they grow up. But I can't decide which one to get. I found these 2 FH that I like in my LFS. One is the Pearly Cherry FH (as they named it) and the other is a Red Flowerhorn(not sure if it's a reddragon. it only says Red flowerhorn). Please check the pictures and help me decide.

I agree. Also what is the price for both? Some of these LFS ask for a lot of money for flowerhorns
They're both sold for $150. The Pearl Cherry costs $165 but the owner is willing to sell it for $150 same as the Red One. Any suggestion if there are other places in New York or online store where I can buy better, quality and not overpriced FH?

That's overpriced as usual but aquabid.com has some nice ones but shipping can be a lot. I'm from Chicago so don't know any places around you.

Thanks! It's probably because everything here in NY is expensive haha. I'm looking around aquabid and found a few. With shipping fee, they cost almost the same or more. Some of them are expensive in aquabid too.

Supply and demand just depends on what area you live in. I found a breeder here who sells fish for a really good price some really really nice ones. We have local swap meets here and they're local cichlids groups. Try to google some around you there must be someone who has some nice flowerhorns. In my opinion that fish is very nice but just overpriced.

So.. I made my decision and not buy either one of them and bought this instead from a different seller who was willing to give me a discount. I now have him in my 60 gal tank. My boyfriend named him sumo. ☺️
