Major Tank Change - Filtration change ideas

Hi,

I have a 300l (90gal) tank with an Eheim 2262 and a 40w UV sterilizer.

The tank did have about 15 Medium americans (10-15cm), with 12 medium loaches, 4 large featherfin, and a sailfin pleco.

I have recently sold all my fish apart from my big flowerhorn (20cm), a synodontis pardalis 6cm, and a small yoyo loach.

Do i still need to be running such a huge filter on my tank for a single fish?

If there is a suggested change, what filter etc should i look at buying.

Keep the filter you have if it works. Don't spend money on another smaller or different filter you might want to upgrade in the future (Bigger tank or more stalk for your tank)

That filter is about as good as it gets....I would not change a thing.

I know its the best you can get lol, but im thinking it could be overkill for a single flowerhorn?

Pull out some bio, add a polishing pad and enjoy crystal water....but don't change the filter....well, I wouldn't....you can do what you want...
