Pitbulls attack mother, kills child(4 years old)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am sure that allot of the issues with this breed, is the folks that tend do buy them, I can not go deeper into that with out sounding politically incorrect.

what it says on the site cited is that they were used for hunting. but most dogs were used for hunting. like i said, mastiff were taken into war. but because theyre less common, theyre bred more responsibly. you dont have tough guys breeding sisters with brothers with moms with second liter brothers.... i really think its a numbers thing.

your eliminate the breed idea would just lead to countless breeds of dogs being removed. honestly, if humanity has show us anything, i bet if all we had were yorkies, people would fight yorkies. then we'd have aggressive yorkies running around... bro.

"Many of these breeds were originally developed as fighting dogs.............."

plus i can punt a yorkie at least 10 yards with little effort

the term pit bull has nothing to do with pit fighting.

“Neutral, but not afraid of any of them.” and “We’re not looking for trouble, but we’re ready for it.” These are the phrases that captioned US war posters featuring pit bulls. Throughout history pit bulls have been mascots for the American military. In the early twentieth century Pit Bulls were so respected for their loyalty, determination and bravery that they were chosen to represent America in WWI on posters used for recruitment and to sell war bonds. - See more at: http://www.fight4them.org/war-dogs-pit-bulls-in-the-military/#sthash.UQ3Yq8l9.dpuf

Don't you know what the "pit" in pit bull means?
taken from your link lol

"At the same time, bite inhibition towards humans was encouraged through selective breeding so gamblers could handle their dogs during staged fights. Partially because of these early breeding efforts which frowned on "man biters," pit bulls gained a reputation for their trustworthy nature with humans."

edit:however your link does answer my question about them being bred for fighting. as does the one by sumo.

Hello; Those who looked at the links I posted may have noted that one tactic is to confuse the issue with disputed "identity". Let us not forget that a mother had to see her small child killed by these dogs. She was attacked as well and could not save her child.
The dogs were reported to be the pitt bull type. It seems premature to say they were not such dogs.

Yeah? Do you know what that means? LOL!!

These dogs were bred to fight. You asked for a link to prove this, and it's been provided. OMG...

youre right. and i edited my post to show that.

but the purpose of me quoting what i did is because the site also says that they were bred to be nonaggressive towards humans.

the problem with the breed with out a alpha around they tear things up, kids, the infirm, other dogs, makes no diff, again they have a dark side and are not predictable, mother leaves the room to go to the bathroom, kids in the room what is considered a loving dog. Dog flips and mauls the kid. this a scenario played over and over with these dogs.
