Not good at sexing but 99 percent syre male as females that size are rare. Not that they would get that big but the female survival rate is low.
 
I agree with wild bill that it is prob a male, but I can't tell for sure.

Unfortunately, that fish looks deformed (looks like a calvus)--- might want to get a better one to make the best use of your time and efforts with spawning.

It is deformed. DO NOT breed and distribute deformed fish.

I wouldn't breed that there is some deformity going on with it. Might not even be fertile. Sorry but I cringe the more I see that fish.
 
thanks for all the replies guys, I've been a little busy. But the good news is the fish isn't deformed it belonged to a friend of mine and he had it with some cichlids. He told me it got beat up pretty bad and the dorsal never healed the same. Other than that it seems to be perfectly fine, But for the benefit of the doubt if I do succeed and the fry turn out to be freak show material I will not bring them to market lol
