Mysterious deaths in well established 300 Gallon tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If filtration is only 1200 litres per hour, that DEFINITELY needs upping, to at least 5x per hour. Ideally 10x per hour, with a large area of biomedia to support.

Yes true I am about to get another filter with a higher capacity of 10x as u said, but sadly only the Sevrum got affected...need to upgrade the filter m sure

Did you notice any pits or damage on the severums face?
Okay Inwas about to update you all about this...No the dead Sevrum was ABSOLUTELY VISIBLY NORMAL when my wife took her out in the morning... I am also suspecting an internal injury maybe due to being attacked by my Arowana but thts very less chance since they never bothered each other...The settlement in my tank is 10 months old as i mentioned with the last introduction being the catfish six months back and same frequency and style of water changes for the last 10 months...so ingress of diseases from outside is minimal almost not possible

Hi Predatorkeeper87 yes but a lot of thought and planning goes into any modification in my tank, as you see it has a glass top cut in two pieces, with holes on each side, so i have to modify the piping system full if I gotta fit another filter, OR can I REPLACE with a larger capacity filter, the present one is 1200 litres per hour...any idea how muh capacity is right for my 300 gallons (990 litres) tank?
leave the one you have on there. I would find a way to connect the hoses to your glass top for another filter and run two.
