My aquarium related item is the 3D background that I recently picked up for my 180.....and it does not look as if it will be going into the tank anytime soon so perhaps I should just giftwrap and place it beside the tree LOL!
I have had my eye on an amazing malaysian driftwood root at the LFS. ..it is over $50 and would look amazing in my 180g...but
1).Have have never bought wood.
2). I don't have another tank I can use to soak such a large piece.
It has been at the store for like a year begging me to buy....maybe.....

Soak it in your bathtub for a day and then weigh the bad boy down in your tank with large rocks for the time being.
I thought about that....it would be awesome.....maybe I will get a big trash can from HomeD and try and soak it in that....don't know why I didn't think of that before....

I had bought Malaysian driftwood at my lfs considered "XXL". I had a pot big enough to submerge half in water. So I decided to boil it and flip around. I actually just wanted to expedite removing the tannin process more than worried about any parasites. That may be option for you if you have a big pot.
