Live insects like crickets. Kensfish have cheaper priced floating food sticks.:)

I use crickets for my aro his diet is 75% crickets
I'm fortunate to live close to a cricket ranch and
can purchase them at a very fare price .

Cost me 6.00 $ a week for 100 crickets
but usually there's more than 100 in the box .

And the sticks that my aro will not eat I feed
them to the crickets sometimes .

Find your nearest Chinese supermarket or cash and carry for cheap frozen foods , raw prawn/shrimp , muscles , white fish fillets, squid.
I got a kg of each last time I went to mine for under £20 , this along with a good pellet (I use hikari carni sticks) but there are cheaper options out there.
I have fed insects , crickets , worm etc in the past but its much easier once there off live foods

What is the aro already eating?....it may not take to any newly introduced foods right away if at all.

My silver will eat anything, my Leichardti is fussy. What type ago are you getting?
