There is nothing called a pure flowerhorn. Flowerhorn are mixed cichlids bred together by a trimac, vieja synpsilum( red head cichlid) and many more.

Most texas are good for breeding projects.

Only fish to worry about is a male parrot usually. Not all fish are fertile either just like humans. A parrot cichlid is deformed fish its not natural.

What's a barrot? :confused: lol the "barrot" or parrot looks more like a male rose queen with a bit of a short body component to it. Super slim chance that he is fertile sadly; one of the down sides to hybrids I'm afraid.

You have a nice texas there can you provide more pictures?

Usually male vent tubes are straight, your texas seems to have a more hooked shape to it which usually means it's a female. Female tubes are shaped like that so they can lay eggs on flat surfaces while the male's straight tube is used to "hose" the eggs with sperm.
