Ninja turtles in training... lol

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The headscratcher in that link was this statement,"Residents of this state may also obtain an Animal Dealer/Wholesale license to be able to sell turtles legally here. However, turtles and tortoises CANNOT be sold within the state of New Jersey".....What would be the purpose of obtaining the dealer's license then?

theyre stating you need obtain a permit to legally sell turtles and tortoises in nj but you can
only sell to those of non residents meaning even with a license you cant sell in nj at all. lol
im assuming they made it this way so its legal to posses once gone through the proper legal
channels and sell legally in the tri state just that nj is excluded. dont know if making sense to
you but ya lol... haha

.....yet it is perfectly fine to hand one over as a gift, okaayyy.
How about the common snapping turtle?...no permit of any kind is required to keep one.

thats what it says. eastern painted and common snappers do not require any sort of permit
to posses long as they are captive bred specimens and not wild caught while on the other
hand bog turtles are illegal period due to being endangered/red listed. so you guys can keep
almost any turtle practically but you gotta pay 10$/year lol.

Good thing I don't live in Jersey and I understand about the bog turtle.I have never seen one except at the Philadelphia Zoo years ago.

lol hahahahaha well they do need a warrant but if they had one youd be screwed lol
How screwed am I REALLY going to be for taking care of perfectly healthy animals and try to give them a good life? I'm sure they can't be bothered with things like ISIS and the like to be worried about. I mean if they tried to take my turtles I'd start protests in the streets and like demonstrations lol
