Anyone use a sieve filter on the aquariums?

How did you balance the floating weir in the cetus sieve? Is it at water level with the tank or sump.

My plan is to install a sump that the 4 tanks drain into before it goes into the sieve. The sump will be raised to 37" tall, same as the height of the sieve.

I'm working out the small details on the system now, think I have it figured out for the most part though. Will be running a drip system, automatic top off for water loss during power outages, and heat exchanger to heat the 2,000 gallon system with my water heater. Cetus sieve should be arriving this week.

As always, nice plumbing work. Is that really 2" copper or is it just painted PVC?
Looking forward to seeing how this works out.
Out of curiosity, are you running a dehumidifier?

It is pvc that I painted with krylon copper paint. Not a good idea to run copper on an aquarium system due to possible leaching into the water, can be very dangerous for the fish. I'm not currently running a dehumidifier and haven't had any issues without one yet.

Curious as to why you painted the pvc and is that polygonal looking tank all the way around or is it a half tank with a flat back?

Painted the pvc for a few reasons. First is that it will hold up better in the long run being painted as it won't be exposed to uv. Other reason is simply it looks much better than ugly white pvc. Tank in the middle is a ten sided decagon tank measuring a little over 6' diameter round with overflows in the center. I believe it is around 550 gallons.

The piping does look better than leaving it white and I never knew that uv exposure would be an issue....thanks for answering.
That is a gorgeous tank,I'm guessing it is acrylic and did you build the stand yourself?
