Will do, hoping to get a smaller black ray variant. Should I keep them suspended in the big tank or move them to their own tank? This is a first for me so I'm learning as I go.
You can do either but I'd keep them in the pup tank for awhile and get them eating well
Congrats yes keep in their own tank so pups are by themselves that way you can make sure they are eating. I normally keep them in a flirting box in main tank for about a month or more.

Yup there own tank. What I did for my pup tank was build a DIY overflow from main tank to the pup tank, then another overflow into main tanks sump.
