I have been an aquarist for over 10 years I have been researching motoro stingrays for a number of years and I finally mustard up the courage to buy one knowing that they are demanding. My water quality is excellent using r/o water levels perfect plenty of room in the 175 gal. Pancake (male motoro stingray) hasn't eaten anything since I bought him 3 days ago. I have tried worms whole, halfed, and cut up very small rejected. Rosy minnows (pet store said this is what he was eating) nothing. Blood worms, and whole thawed krill. I have been stressing day and night about it. He seems fine swimming freely with the lights off I've been trying to keep the lights off during the day for him to get comfortable. Need to know if this behavior is normal I also need to know signs of stress so I can keep an eye out. Thanks.

That's nothing 3 days, mine I have had for 25 days and has not eaten. If it's not skin and bones I wouldn't worry and he probally will start eating soon

Just leave the lights off and let it acclimate for a few days. It's freaked out. It should start to eat after a week or 2.

Ok thank you I will keep an eye on him will post updates if anything changes.

Has he been treated for parosites?
As far as i know the store I purchase him at is reputable the owner has been keeping in contact with me when I informed him that he's not eating. I have also been adding aquarium salt to the tank.

Name of the game is de-stress. Do everything you possibly can to make him comfortable. There has been almost half a dozen threads about rays not eating lately, plenty of good info on how to keep him stress free and what kind of food to try. So far I think yours seems like it's got the best chance.
