That's an awesome GT, really stocky. If I had to put my money down, I'd say female due to the head shape, body colouring, tail shape and lack of thick banding. Best way is to vent![]()
had one similar that grew to be 11 inches. It had the color but none of the other nice male trates. Never could tell until I had an actual female in tank.
No trailer fins, but it was STILL a male? This would only be the 2nd time I've heard of this
I say we encourage him to put a guaranteed female in the tank and see what happens, that way if they breed MFK has 1st-dibs on a LOT of really nice pick-of-the-litters.

.... then again I also have a friend who kept 2 male GTs in an aggressive cichlid community w/ JDs, Convicts, Jewels, Jaguars, etc.
